The WSF has many new and innovative projects in
the mix for 2008 and we hope to
expand Salsa in areas that have not been explored and to continue our reputation
as having the finest dancers in the World. Choreographers, dance competitors,
and coaches from around the world are signing up to be a part of the most
prestigious group and organization in the World, The World Salsa Federation's
Las Estrellas de la Salsa!
The WSF would like to inform all its members and competitors around the world
that the U.K. World Cup Open Salsa Championships is NOT a sanctioned WSF event
and that the winners of the event do not receive any compensation from the WSF
to the WSF World Championships. This event is strictly a Que Pasa Magazine
event. Due to the fact that Que Pasa Magazine and the WSF could not come to
terms on rules and regulations and other financial commitments, the WSF has
decided to terminate its involvement with this event and have informed Que Pasa
Magazine to remove all WSF references from their literature, website, etc. We
are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
The WSF is in the process of negotiating its own World Cup in England with
another organizer. Please feel free to write us if you have any questions.
